Planet Kids aims and goals in the curriculum
1. Planet Kids strives to provide a safe and caring environment that stimulates the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. We strive to creating a harmonious, productive, caring and loving, working atmosphere.
2. We strive to give each child the opportunity to develop to his or her full potential, emotionally, socially, physically and academically. We strive to allow all children to learn at their individual pace.

1. Our aim is to promote self-reliance, creativity, empathy, respect for the rights of others and positive self-esteem. Our goal is to promote and nurture a safe and caring educational environment that stimulates the children.
2. Our aim is to create an environment centered on trust, happiness and attention to individual needs, so that the children may grow personally and academically.
3. Our aim is that the children will be exposed to: language, music, movements, nature, hands-on creative projects, theme work and the free play children need (both indoors and outdoors) each and every week.
Social Development 1. To teach each child how to show respect and care for friends, siblings, parents, teachers etc.
2. To provide an environment where each child gives the opportunity to learn to function in co-operation with others.
3. To provide an environment in which each child can create a sense of self- respect and positive self-esteem.
5. To teach each child to be responsible and to understand the consequences of his/her actions.

Care 1. To help each child to become independent and encourage each child to dress themselves and keeping their own clothes and belongings in order.
2. To help and teach each child about hygiene and of the importance of cleaning themselves after outdoor play, before and after food. etc.
3. To please each child's need for relaxation.
4. To encourage table manners and good food habits. To teach and make each child aware of food from different cultures.
5. To provide a balance of both indoor and outdoor activities to develop the gross motor skills by physical stimulation.
6. To encourage and make each child aware of all seasons and learn about the different weather conditions.
7. To teach each child the appropriate skills for excursions.
8. To encourage each child's social awareness and to feel responsible for our environment.

Language and Communication 1. To stimulate each child's understanding and use of the English language.
2. To provide opportunities for children to share stories and information in large and small groups and together with different age groups.
3. To offer an environment which stimulates language development. We provide opportunities for children to learn English through rhymes, songs, poetry and stories.
4. To practice the listening and responding skills to both friends and adults.
5. To invite children to explore the alphabet, through songs, writing and spelling.
6. Performing and practicing action rhymes.
7. Listening to English songs and music.
8. Reading and sharing English stories with the children daily.
9. Role play stimulated by the Role-Play corner and house.

Play 1. To provide opportunities for both free and directed play indoors and outdoors.
2. To practice their social skills through free play; taking turns, consideration, taking responsibility, train their empathy etc. The play also develop each child's concentration and creativity.
3. To provide a chance for each child to develop an understanding of feelings and learn from friends and teachers. The play trains the child to follow a framework of rules.
4. To handle conflicts and understand rights and obligations as well as take responsibility for common rules.
5. To develop their ability to build, create and design using different materials and techniques.
6. To develop their ability to accept responsibility for their own actions and for the environment of the pre-school and develop the ability to understand and act in accordance with democratic principles by participating in different kinds of cooperation and decision making.
Theme work Planet Kids curriculum is developed through a series of themes that aim

Arts & crafts: 1. To help the each child to feel responsibly and to learn about the materials and different techniques which each child can use in his/her creative activities.
2. To provide motivation for each child to create, present or perform his/her own work.
3. To encourage children to enjoy the experience in the process of creation rather than only in the result. 4. To develop each child how to work together as a team on a creative projects. Circle-Time: 1. To place a great importance upon speaking calmly and listening to each others thoughts and ideas within the group.
2. To develop the children’s individual identity and confidence.
3. To learn how to share.
4. To develop their identity and feel secure in themselves. 5. To feel a sense of participation in their own culture and develop a feeling and respect for other cultures. 6. To develop their ability to listen, narrate, reflect and express their own views 7. To develop their ability to discover, reflect on and work out their position on different ethical dilemmas and fundamental questions of life in daily reality, 9. To develop a calm atmosphere and gives a moment in the day to pause, sit and listen.

4. To listen to the English language, thus developing their own pronunciation, ideas, fantasies and knowledge.
Sport: 1. To learn more about their bodies and how they feel through music, play and action.
2. To develop and learn about their own physical capabilities, this will in turn develop the children’s self-esteem which will make them happier, more creative and more able to concentrate in all areas of their life.
3. To develop their motor skills, ability to co-ordinate, awareness of their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaining their own health and well-being. Sharing / ”Show and Tell”: 1. To sharing something personal, the children will develop their self-confidence and have a stronger sense of identity.
