Planet Kids Staff
Planet Kids currently employs four full-time and two part-time teaching staff, as well as a kitchen helper.  We also work alongside Higher Education Colleges to support trainee teachers.  The Head Teacher, appointed by the Board, is responsible for the operational side of the school.  The Head teacher hires, supervises and supports the staff and ensures an appropriate environment for all the children.

 

  Miss Hanna Bjureland (Head Teacher)
  Born and raised in Västerås, Sweden; Hanna moved to Stockholm in 2003.
  Hanna has a degree in Education from Lärarhögskolan, Stockholm,
  qualifying her to teach children from Nursery to 12 years old. She has also
  completed the “Hitta Vilse” (Swedish Outdoor Safety Course).  Before
  Hanna  started her studies she worked in a bookstore in Västerås and she
  had also worked as a Gymnastics coach  for childrenaged3-6 year. 

 

 

 

  Ms. Yvonne Johansson :
  Yvonne joined Planet Kids in January 2003 as a Teacher. Her education
  includes courses in Early Childhood Development, Communication and
  Pedagogy for children up to 6 years of age. Yvonne is born in Stockholm,
  were she lives with her family. Yvonne has worked in many different areas
  within the service sector, including care for disabled adults, and has also
  operated her own company. Yvonne is bit of a "handy-woman" and loves
  working with her hands, on activities such us woodwork, fishing, knitting,
  sewing, embroidery, weaving, drawing and baking. She also enjoys listening
  to music and reading books.

 

  Teacher: Mrs. Audrey Norell
 
Audrey joined Planet Kids in August of 2006 as a Teacher. Since then she
  has cared for Toddlers, Tweenies and Pre-schoolers. Audrey originally comes
  from USA (Philadelphia) and moved to Stockholm in 2006 together with her
  husband. Previous to working at Planet Kids, Audrey worked with procurement
  and financial services in the pharmaceutical industry (GlaxoSmithKline). At
  university (Villanova University, PA) Audrey studied liberal arts, including
  courses in Psychology, Sociology and Early Childhood Development. While
  studying she also volunteered at a local community center for children. In her
                              spare time Audrey enjoys reading, gardening, baking and yoga.

 

  Sarah Lindahl (second Head teacher)
  Sarah Lindahl grew up in Seattle, Washington, USA and moved to
  Stockholm in 2004.  Prior to joining the nursery in 2006 Sarah
  graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in psychology
  focusing on child development.  Sarah has had many roles at Planet
  Kids including head teacher, teacher and admissions coordinator. 
  In her spare time she loves to craft, hike, listen to music and spend
  time with her family.
